Current*Responsible for purchasing and tactical management of assigned suppliers and/or categories from receipt of planning requirements to payment of invoice.* Negotiate pricing through quote requests, price breaks, blanket orders, and pursue alternate suppliers, aligning with current cost savings initiatives. * Regulate existing P.O’s with MRP data exports routinely expediting, postponing, or setting up partial releases. * Align incoming P.O’s to match monthly inventory thresholds and… Show more *Responsible for purchasing and tactical management of assigned suppliers and/or categories from receipt of planning requirements to payment of invoice.* Negotiate pricing through quote requests, price breaks, blanket orders, and pursue alternate suppliers, aligning with current cost savings initiatives. * Regulate existing P.O’s with MRP data exports routinely expediting, postponing, or setting up partial releases. * Align incoming P.O’s to match monthly inventory thresholds and carrying costs. * Update item classification data for the status on AXAY items as well as min max items. * Maintain Demand Dashboard for urgent components needed for production. *Establish supplier relations. * Representative for all internal customers* Participate in weekly contract reviews for new and existing components. Review all items linked to Buy American or Specialty Metals to ensure compliance. * Evaluate supplier performance and issue scorecards. * Process return P.O’s placed on nonconformance within 48 hours. * Process P.O’s for various outside services. * Monitor unconfirmed and late to promise dashboard every 48 hours. * Resolve invoicing issues and order discrepancies when necessary. * Visits suppliers when necessary.
