Research Assistant
CurrentThe Tjian-Darzacq Group @ UC Berkeley utilizes Single Molecule Tracking (SMT) from live cell imaging to study transcription in vivo. I serve as a research assistant for a new technique called proximity-assisted photoactivation (PAPA) developed in the lab. • Created a computational toolkit to preprocess and classify images captured from live cells using machine learning algorithms• Designed an easily navigable interactive dashboard web app to visualize and conduct analysis on large amounts of data using Dash• Developed kinetic PAPA (kPAPA), a technique to analyze the kinetics of protein interactions in transcription• Cloned 50+ constructs of 10+ biological test cases and integrated into mammalian cells to obtain dissociation rate constants • Utilized skills like PCR, gel electrophoresis, ligation, GG and Gibson assembly, tissue culture, and data analysis in Python
