Jonathan is a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years'​ experience in the design of highways and drainage, in particular major schemes such as M1 J6a-10 Widening, the M6 Toll, High Speed 2 project and recently the £1.5bn A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement scheme through preliminary design and the Development Consent Order process. Jonathan has led highway design teams and been responsible for delivery of all aspects of the highway design including alignment, drainage, vehicle restraint systems and general roadworks as well as coordination of other engineering disciplines. Jonathan has specialist experience in the design of highway and rail drainage systems including design of pipe networks, treatment and pollution control, balancing ponds, soakaways and SUDS techniques. Jonathan has worked closely with contractors on Design and Build schemes to deliver cost-effective solutions with emphasis on buildability and has been responsible for liaison with third parties such as the Environment Agency and local authorities.
