It is a 42 month programme, consisting of 21 different manufacturing technology projects ranging from Additive Layer Manufacture, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, single crystal casting, novel welding to machining new materials. The £60m geared funded programme (through the Aerospace Technology Institute and Innovate UK) is made up of £30m R&T gross and £30m implementation costs (Capital etc) and returns up to £250m benefits in improved Manufacturing capability over ten years.
