I am retired. Previously I was a partner at Torys LLP and head of the firm’s Project Finance Group. My practice focused on project finance, project development and secured lending. I have advised on many transactions, in particular in the energy, infrastructure and mining industries. I recently represented several of North America’s most prominent energy companies and project finance lenders in a variety of transactions in Canada and abroad. I acted as lead counsel on the $2 billion Watay electricity transmission project; to the lenders on the C$75 million project financing for the AIM Powergen SOP Phase 1 wind farm, as developer's counsel on several large wind farm developments and financings for Brookfield Renewable Power including the Prince I and II projects, as lead counsel to the lenders on the C$942 million project financing of the 850MW Sithe-Goreway project, as lead counsel for the borrower on the C$650 million project financing of the 1005MW Greenfield Energy Centre project, and as lead counsel to the monoline insurer on the financing of the Golden Ears Bridge, Calgary Ring Road, and the wrapped financing for six hydroelec¬tric facilities under construction in British Columbia.Specialties: Project Finance for energy and infrastructure.
