As Technical Manager I was responsible for the management of the service engineering team to provide support to customers Kramer loaders and tele-handlers, along with parts and materials procurement to support customers’ needs. I liaise with UK and Germany suppliers on a daily basis to remedy any technical or delivery issues to increase productivity. · Organise the day-to-day duties and operation of the team, resolve operational problems, deal with customers and liaise with other members of staff · Monitor and control allocated job budgets and justify variations to these. · Manage customer relationships and minimize disputes whilst liaising directly with the Credit Control Department. · Planning and scheduling manpower and equipment requirements for programmed jobs to meet customer demands.

My primary role involved project managing hardware supplier’s programme of work for the design and introduction of their new products into new Rolls Royce engines, ensuring delivery of key items to ensure tight project timescales are satisfied. Deriving product requirements for controls hardware for the Trent XWB and 7000 jet engines to specify to suppliers. As project technician for the Trent XWB Controls Pneumatic Team, I liaised with controls hardware managers, taking data from programme plans to maintain trackers which are presented to Team Seniors for tracking project progress and resource planning.

‘PROJECT TECHNICIAN’ – ROLLS ROYCE PLC (CONTRACTOR) As project technician for the Trent XWB Controls Pneumatic Team I liaised with Unit Engineers, taking data from programme plans to maintain trackers which are presented to Team Leaders for tracking project progress and resource planning. I also worked with PDM and PLM (Teamcentre) to provide assistance to Unit Engineers with configuration and document management tasks.In addition to this, I also took on the Unit Engineers role for the Low Pressure Turbine Case Cooling Valve for the Trent XWB engine.

I managed the design installation of aluminium curtain walling projects including windows and doors along with internal glass partitioning and doors for the construction and interior fit-out industries. I liaised with clients and main contractors to produce technical schedules and AutoCAD detail drawings for manufacture and installation. Managing fabricators, logistics and installation contractors to ensuring materials reached sites and were installed in the correct sequence.
