A cornerstone of the electronic dance music industry for over 10 years, Beatport provides electronic music professionals an online catalog of millions of tracks in nearly every genre of electronic music. Until as recently as last year, Beatport was exclusively focused on providing content for the electronic music professional, as an online retailer. However, as the popularity of electronic music grew, it became evident that the organization should not only provide the music for purchase and professional use, but also for consumption for the casual listener. It was decided to expand the company into two distinct services - keeping the original online store but also creating a consumer focused streaming service, using Beatport’s extensive catalog. The following are examples of my roles and responsibilities during this pivotal transition in the lifetime of the organization:• Design unique, interesting and elegant interactive systems that strive to meet business-derived deliverables like revenue, usage, engagement and overall consumer satisfaction. • Create highly visual designs with strong attention to detail across all design principles, including composition, typography, color, art direction and iconography.• Draft and develop user experience storyboards, and page layouts as part of a flexible visual system. Collaborate with other designers, developers and other product stakeholders to create the most compelling and successful products possible.

Medifast is a Maryland-based nutrition and lifestyle company that provides formulated meal replacements for weight-loss. I joined Medifast at the start of their web redesign project. During this time, I worked with a lean team of designers and developers to brainstorm and refresh a user’s workflow, followed by creating high and low fidelity creative concepts that would eventually lead to the finished product. The completed website redesign was published in October, 2012.In addition to redesigning Medifast’s main corporate website, I was also presented with the opportunity to work on another redesign project for one of Medifast's child organizations, Medifast Weight Control Centers.For this project I was given full creative control throughout the design process, and worked as the principal designer on the project. Working closely with Medifast Weight Control Center business leaders, I created a fresh, engaging design aligned with the values of the Medifast Weight Control Centers brand.The new website has gone on to be replicated for use with Medifast Weight Control Center franchises nationwide.

AAM Competition is a boutique automotive performance manufacturer based in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Their goal is to deliver high quality products to enhance the performance of sporting vehicles.During my time with AAM Competition, I was directly responsible for all digital and print media assets for the company. My scope of work encompassed laying out web pages to support product launches, designing web banners, moderating the company’s website, creating stationaries, trifolds, and business cards for the company, and directing and photographing completed products for use with print and digital media.
