• Head of section responsible for consistently ensuring operational capability of the ships main weapons system in order to combat potential piracy threat in the Gulf of Aden and Arabian Sea.
• Overseeing both periodic maintenance and break downs.
• 600VAC system complying of electrical and mechanical components, controlled by a remote operating station, compromising of a relay logic control system.
• Performing daily maintenance checks and rectifying any defects immediately, as any potential complications with the system could potentially leave the ship in a vulnerable condition due to the location of the vessel.
• Orchestrated extensive training to other member of the team in order to increase their knowledge and ability of all systems on board.
• Key member in the divisional organisation, coordinating and carrying out written and verbal assessments on subordinate’s performance and potential.

• After being selected for promotion to a management role, this course was designed to further enhance and develop current electrical and engineering skills.
• Subjects included electrical engineering, electrical maintenance and fault-finding techniques which are designed to maintain the weapon systems and keep all potential faults to a minimum.
• Undertook a three-week intensive course to increase leadership skills, develop teamwork, in addition to this it was also vital to provide evidence of being a competent team leader during adverse conditions.
