San Jose

Broadcasted play-by-play commentary for the online video stream of the ACHA San Jose State hockey team for the 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 seasons. Wrote game recaps, previews and other news stories for the website, along with creating accompanying graphics using Photoshop. Responsible for the set-up, break-down, and on-site troubleshooting of the audio and video equipment for broadcasts. Traveled with the team on road trips to Southern California, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Montana and Massachusetts. Shot, edited, and interviewed players and coaches for “Spartan Snapshot” video series.

Wrote the “Crash Course” series of articles following the SJSU Spartans Hockey team since the 2011 season. Contributed to the coverage of the San Jose Sharks 2012 off-season to the present. Credenitaled for the joint NHL/SAP conference at Levi’s Stadium. Articles have ranged from news coverage, to statistical analysis to parody. Articles have been linked on CSNBayArea.com and Yahoo! Sports.

Assisted producers as well as sports anchors Scott Reiss, Joe Fonzi, and Mark Ibanez for weekend editions of the news, as well as the half-hour Sports Wrap Sunday nights. Assisted mobile crews recording postgame audio at AT&T Park and Levi’s Stadium. Logged video for highlights, fact-checked statistics, and helped choose highlights.

Ran and hosted a weekly subversive rock music show called Screamin’ From The Suburbs from the summer of 2009 until the fall of 2011. Host of Sports Weekly, a weekly show about the world of sports, focusing on SJSU and Bay Area sports in particular. Board-operator for KSJS sports broadcasts including football, hockey, baseball, basketball and volleyball. Sports commentator for football, baseball, volleyball and hockey.

Managed the stable of KSJS broadcasters to fill broadcast and board-operator positions on a weekly basis. Created the sports broadcast schedule for the year while coordinating with the San Jose State University Athletic Department. Part of the management team which is responsible for the day-to-day aspects of running the radio station. My stable of included future broadcasters for NCAA D1 athletics, Single-A and Summer League baseball.
