Actively seeking an exciting new opportunity in local government in the Triangle Area. Currently, I'm a budget analyst in the North Carolina Office of State Budget and Management. I work on the Health and Human Services Team, and I oversee close to $3B in budget.Previously, I was a Management Analyst for the Orange County Department of Social Services in Hillsborough, N.C. I developed, tracked and analyzed performance data, as well as prepared reports that were used by agency supervisors, staff and public when making policy decisions about public assistance programs. I also served as the department's NCFAST and NCID administrator, and frequently prepared communication materials for clients, public, media and staff.I received a Master of Public Administration degree from the UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Government. I have government work experience in budgeting, performance measures, tax research and strategic planning, as well as extensive professional work experience in writing, editing and reporting. Before I started graduate school, I worked as a reporter and editor for a small newspaper in Southeastern N.C. - The Robesonian - and a full-service communications firm in Cary, N.C.
