Manage the Reading Internship Scheme www.reading.ac.uk/careers/ris aimed at both undergraduate and postgraduate students, this involves:• account management of existing employer contacts, with a focus on local/regional SME’s, in addition to marketing the scheme to new employers• setting up and developing systems and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the scheme• organising and delivering pre placement workshops• manage the Santander Universities SME Internships Programme (15 placements for 2013-14)• as a result of my outreach work, selected to be a University of Reading Campaign AmbassadorJob Shop:• manage the day to day running of the Job Shop including line managing two members of staff• run workshops on finding part time work and improving your CV• manage the Part-time Jobs Fair, which included negotiating its first sponsorship deal with The Oracle Shopping Centre

This role involved leading a team of four, co-ordinating a cross college work experience scheme, along with the college's careers provision (including UCAS) and The Employment Shop.The team worked closely with local organisations to increase the employer engagement provision for students. The department worked with over 220 employers over the past year, which included Hilton hotels and BMW, along with many more.

-Responsible for co-ordinating a team of four, ensuring outstanding, high quality FE and HE careers provision. -During this time the department was re-accredited with the Matrix quality award and recommended for the Excellence award-Professional research and writing, including a published article for “Phoenix” (AGCAS Magazine) along with updating AGCAS Occupational Profiles and Industry Insights
