Growing up in Orcutt, CA, I had the privilege of experiencing a small-town upbringing with a unique blend of cultures. My mother, a midwestern farm girl, and my father, a Spanish immigrant, gave me an upbringing rich in tradition and diverse perspectives.During my formative years, I spent my days tending to farm animals, playing baseball, and participating in livestock shows and FFA. Although I occasionally found myself in a bit of mischief, these quintessential small-town experiences shaped me into the person I am today. As I grew older, I strongly wanted to explore beyond my hometown. College seemed the perfect next step, but financial constraints forced me to reconsider. On my 19th birthday, I made a significant decision: I called an Air Force recruiter and embarked on a journey to shape my future.During my time in the military, I had the opportunity to visit various places, build invaluable soft skills, and train as an Aircraft mechanic. I learned the importance of diversity, dedication, and teamwork and forged lasting friendships. After leaving the Air Force, I embarked on a nine-month journey across the United States. I got to see many unique places and meet amazing people. During my breaks between adventures, I earned several certifications, including the CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure Administrator and Fundamentals, and the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. Today, I'm passionate about securing my first professional role in the Information Technology industry.I hold a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. I continue to enhance my skills through frequent engagement in ethical hacking communities such as TryHackMe, OverTheWire, and Hack the Box. I am currently attending Divergence Academy as a Cloud Engineer Student. This exceptional program has deepened my knowledge of distributed systems and Cloud-related security. As a firm believer in the principle that you reap what you sow, I approach every endeavor with unwavering dedication. I look for the same level of commitment in those I collaborate with. I'm your guy if you're searching for a dedicated individual who gets the job done.
