Responsible for the end to end process of PLM & CNC programming. Leading a dynamic, enthusiastic and agile team of professionals who not only support the daily business demands, but continuosly innovate to deliver new ideas accelerating our digital factory road map.PLM Teams responsibilities includes application management, integration, deployment, training & strategy of company digital factory roadmap. PLM strategy is based on Enovia V6 and Delmia V5 DPE/DPM allowing for a paperless and mobile manufacturing process. All engineering PLM processes are accompanied by eLearning tutorials and supported by the PLM support team.CNC Programmimg Teams responsibilities cover ply cutting, laser projection, 5 axis machining, CMM & 3D printing working towards the Continuos Improvement of machining processes through extended enterprise, higher education institutes and R&D. Clean room programming is covered by Magestic-Autodesk Trulaser and TruNest. 5 axis machining and set up using Delcam Part locator and Catia V5. CMM programming carried out using PCDimis. 3D Printing is a new growth area specifically aimed at consumable tooling and part prototyping.The PLM Team also support Engineering on Account management, budget control road map development, plus supporting Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Stress & NC Applications including Enovia, Delmia, Catia, MDNastran, Simexpert, EsaComp & Magestic TruNest/TruNest.

Digital Data Groups main responsibility was to lead the charge in deploying Dassault Systemes PLM solution based on Enovia V6 across the company. Out of this the development and subsequent project rollout from Strata's Digital Factory roadmap. The main drivers were to ensure readiness for future model based definition products and evolution of a mobile paperless manufacturing environment.

Responsible for all NC processes relating to bond assembly production, 5 axis machining and tooling for A380, A330 Fairings, B777 Empinage Ribs, A330 Spoilers.Taking build to print work packages from several OEMs and managing the manufacturing process from ply cutting to Laser projection lay up to 5 axis drill & trim of cured parts. Process improvement including renesting using Majestic TruNest to laser station installation and program management..

Technical project lead for the development, deployment and integration of CATIA V5 offline robotic programming solutions replacing existing legacy CATIA V4 solutions. Areas of deployment, Flow composite water jet cutting, PAR laser scribing.

Multi Disciplinary Optimised Wing Development March 2007 to July 2008Technical Project leader for the development and integration of the future Digital Factory/PLM toolset to be deployed on the next generation composite wing box build. Role includes budget and resource control, bench marking process and down selecting. Goal is to deliver the future PLM system which will allow for automated programming and process certification for automated wing box assembly. This toolset will form the core of the manufacturing enterprise for an aerospace digital factory.Project management for the integration of CATIA\DELMIA V5 robotic manufacturing work cell for drilling of A320 lower panels.Project management trans-nationally for the migration of present NC programs into the DELMIA V5 Robotics toolset. All Airbus product lines are included in this project. The aim of the project involves taking all present 2D CAM systems and programming into a full 3D simulation program package. As this project team is trans-national I have to converse across all nations included. This includes travelling to meetings across Europe, conference calls and Webex online meetings.

Manufacturing Systems Engineering Quality Representative Role includes auditing local business centres as well as Final Assembly Lines in Toulouse and Hamburg. Coordinating and controlling local and trans-national documents for Airbus UK Manufacturing Systems Engineering department.Programming of all auto assembly machines on Broughton site including design and program data management from start to end of project and program prove outs. Products include A380P, A380F, A340-HGW, A330 and A320. Programming of High Speed Riveting Machine for A330-200 in CADDS5 NCFASTEN

NC programming carried out in NCL version 9.1 and Vericut 5.2. Working on projects for the Nimrod Sea Surveillance aircraft to be machined at Ronalds Way Aerospace, Isle of Man.

NC modifications and machine prove out. Parts worked on included crossbeams for Bombardier Aerospace Belfast and Box Beam stringers for A340 test spars. The majority of the work was modifying apt source code from Catia, post processing and verifying the outputted punch tape file for A330 and A340 wing ribs in Vericut 4

All programming was carried out in NCL versions 8.4 to 9.1 and checked using Vericut4.4. First three months were spent programming 3 axis parts for Airbus A318 and Dornier 728 to be machined at Eurocopter Germany. Experience was also gained on 5 axis Spans for the Dornier 728 to be machined at Consur SpA in Seville.

Responsibilities included that of riveting and drilling crossbeams, skin panels and assembly of sections 19 to section 16 for Airbus aircraft assembly programs run on the Gemco G300, G900

Role included time and material quoting of nc programming jobs and creation of work packages for nc programmers in the UK. All program testing was carried out by myself on site.
