As Head of the Abuse & Inquests team at Farleys Solicitors, I have over 20 years experience acting for victims of abuse, representing clients across the UK, with claims against social services, historic abuse claims and claims to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.I have secured substantial damages for the victims of abuse in the Rochdale sex rings, and have recently advised the BBC with regards to an upcoming drama covering the victims’ true stories of grooming and sexual abuse.As a specialist in this area of law, I am currently assisting with the high profile Independent Inquiry into Child Sex Abuse (IICSA); have advised members of the Professional Footballers Association and other high profile players following the latest football child abuse scandal, and have also been asked to speak at various events on the topic, including the Association of Personal Injury Lawyer (APIL) Abuse Special Interest group.I also deal with a small number of high profile Inquests and I am currently representing the family of Anthony Grainger, who was shot by an officer of Greater Manchester Police.
