Domestic Content Compliance Monitoring and Audit SupportMr. Cheszes was the Project Manager and lead consultant providing Domestic Content Monitoring and Audit support to a portfolio of over 100 MW of solar ground mount projects in Ontario. The engagements included both a pre-assessment of DC compliance capability, managing upfront declarations and prescribed forms from the supply chain, on-going monitoring and auditing of DC progress and the provision of the DC reports to the Independent Electricity System Operator.Ontario Solar and Wind Market Assessment For the largest independent power producer in Ontario, Mr. Cheszes completed an in-depth analysis of the Ontario solar and wind market, including the development of contracted and committed contracts, the key players, the manufacturing capability and the current cost environment for utility scale solar in Ontario. The analysis also looked at pricing differences between Domestic Content and foreign component based systems as well as the future of large scale procurement in Ontario and recommended a market entry strategy. -

Through this project, he became intimately familiar with the various failure reasons at each evaluation stage and the types of inconsistencies that were a priority for the OPA.Domestic Content Compliance Process and Audit Plan. For a major utility scale solar developer, Mr. Cheszes was the Project Manager and lead consultant that helped them create a domestic content compliance process and audit plan. This process and audit plan provided the framework that the developer is following to ensure its equipment suppliers were in compliance with its contract obligations to the Ontario Power Authority and assisted in the financing of their portfolio of over 100 MW of projects. -
