RESEARCH SCIENTIST- Manage research projects to develop new products and analytical methods- Manage teams of engineers and chemists to achieve research objectives. This includes managing a budget, scheduling research activities, identifying project dependencies, operating within contract, policy, and legal constraints, maintaining procurement processes, and delivering periodic reports to upper management and funding agencies- Identify risks and develop risk mitigation strategies- Research focused on measuring gaseous analytes in various gas matrices. Examples include: sorbent trap technologies for the capture of Hg, HCl, HBr, Se, As, NH3, SO3, and Siloxanes, applications with GC-IMS, and development of sorbent trap sampling equipment- Collaborate with industry and academic research partners on development of novel measurement methods- Present research findings and new products at industry conferences, ASTM meetings, and through various company communications- Write and submit grant proposals to federal agencies supporting SBIR researchQA/QC MANAGER- Optimize laboratory processes- Maintain company compliance with NELAP standards- Perform root cause analysis when problems arise, implement solutions to prevent recurrence- Write standard operating procedures, policies, and manuals for laboratory activities- Perform regular audits of laboratory activities- Review and approve laboratory analysis reports- Provide customer support

- Manage teams of engineers and chemists to achieve field project objectives - Responsible for developing a project schedule, identifying project dependencies, completing a job hazard analysis, checking equipment integrity and performing necessary repairs, reviewing measurement data, and delivering a project report to the customer- Identify risks and develop risk mitigation strategies- Worked with customers to develop pollution control testing strategies in order to comply with EPA MATS regulations.- Analyzed HCl, HBr, NH3, and SO3 sorbent traps via ion chromatography- Analyzed Hg sorbent traps via atomic absorption spectrometry- Installed portable continuous emissions monitors for Hg at customer sites

- Designed data processing and analytical software to model complex many-bodied problems such as nucleation theory and Lennard-Jones crystals in thermal gradients- Implemented linked-list cell algorithms and other processing economizers to efficiently model the interactions of several thousand atoms
