Duties and responsibilities Ownership of monthly line of business forecast for the divisions, including presentation, delivered to CE FP&A, EMEA Controller and Global FP&A team. Monthly analysis and commentary on results for delivery to CE FP&A, EMEA Controller and heads of fee assist and stewardship teams. Manage annual budget process for the divisions (running from September through to March), including presentations to CE FP&A, EMEA Controller, heads of fee assist and stewardship teams and CE/UK Executive Committee. Act as value-add business partner to all fee assist and stewardship teams in EMEA Divisional and CE Divisional. Become ‘go to’ FP&A lead for the divisions. Calculating, managing and communicating allocation of costs to EMEA countries and other segments. Frequent ad hoc analysis for a variety of stakeholders throughout the business and globally. Work with Global TM1 team in developing budget and forecast tool for the divisions. Liaise with controllership, tax, treasury, D&T, FinPro and legal teams when required.

Responsibilities include:• Be close business partner to the CPMO, Operations Director, Editorial, Marketing and Operations teams providing detailed analysis and commercial support• Financial management of the content development pipeline including supporting Editorial Directors in planning. Ownership of the Investment Appraisal process, ensuring content spend decisions are in line with publishing strategy and commercially appraised• Attend fortnightly publishing (Portfolio board) meetings and English Medium project meetings, advising and giving updated on financial performance and financial training where appropriate.• Support commercial analysis around business partnerships and drive any required systems changes to on-board new business areas and initiatives• Develop the reporting and support for GCOM and EMC• Manage the central overheads for Editorial and Operations, ensuring regular reporting of costs and headcount to department managers and commentary on areas of variance, drive and support cost improvement initiatives• Produce high quality budgets and forecasts and develop forecasting models and systems• Preparation and submission of supporting presentations as required, develop KPI’s to support the publishing process and to monitor progress against business strategy• Key financial representative for all publishing systems related matters/projects, driving change• Liaise with the Financial Reporting and Accounting team when reviewing monthly results to ensure the accurate provisioning of cost lines, and with Group Planning to ensure the accurate reporting of content and overheads• Manage a team of three• Ad hoc work as required
