Born and raised in South Florida, I graduated high school at the age of fifteen and enrolled into college at the age of sixteen. A deep-rooted passion for analytical and philosophical inquiry, as well as a love for teaching others, led me to study mathematics. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics at Georgia Tech with Highest Honors, and am now pursuing a PhD in Mathematics at the University of Illinois Chicago.One of my greatest accomplishments, at the age of fourteen, I began a routine of diet andexercise on which I lost over seventy pounds in less than nine months. I have kept off thatexcess weight and have stuck to the same routine to this day.At around the same time that I began my routine of diet and exercise, I discovered KhanAcademy and began studying mathematics and the sciences on there. By the time I had lost my excess weight, I had also taught myself the entire high school curriculum, particularly so that I could earn my diploma early and begin studying math in college.In addition to my love for math, teaching, and learning, I am passionate about interpersonal communication, public speaking, and training others. I seek every opportunity to nurture these passions and have previously done so in my professional and academic career.I am a steadfast worker, eager to learn new concepts and ideas, able to learn quickly from my mistakes, and am a critical, analytical, and creative thinker.
