About Jonathan Stoll

I make connections, facilitate relationships and build bridges. For too long, I regarded my multi-racial identity as a crutch; I didn't belong and didn't have a box to check. It's now an asset that reflects not just my racial identity, but my capacity and competency for building bridges across cultures and organizations. I am a masterful facilitator and communicator, largely because I listen and empathize with those I work with and for (whether students, employers, or business clients). I bring over 20 years of experience in higher education developing innovative programs and initiatives, training and empowering staff, and strategically developing and leveraging resources and relationships to solve wicked problems. Wherever I go, I embrace opportunities for change. I'm addicted to progress. For both myself and the organizations and clients I serve. My diverse life experiences afford me the critical lens from which to examine challenges. I'm a big, systems thinker who leverages my artistic creativity to radically imagine the possibilities and ask effective questions (listen to the Soul Force Ones podcast). The most recent problem I've embraced with my current employer: transforming the way we talk about and deliver career education. It's been an opt-in boutique service that's traditionally perpetuated dominant cultural norms. I'm leading the integration of career education within all facets of the student experience and developing fresh, relevant and engaging content that draws on Moana, Michelle Obama, Yosso's Community Cultural Wealth model, and India Arie to advance equity and belonging, and help students realize the value of who they are, where they come from and the value they add to prospective employers.I am a soulful/authentic leader who's human centered. We're spiritual beings doing human things, after all. I develop human skills, not soft skills, and value and demonstrate a commitment to practicing and cultivating trust, empathy, equity, equanimity and a growth mindset.Key skills include: Collaboration and relationship building | Diversity, equity and inclusion best practices | Leadership and organizational development | Stakeholder analysis | Facilitation of meetings, workshops and difficult dialogues | Strategic planning and communications | Organizational change management | Design thinking | Project management | Program design and management | Canva design platform | Qualtrics |
