    The Children’s Room (TCR) is the largest independent non-profit in Massachusetts solely dedicated to supporting grieving children, teens, and families. Since 1993, the organization has provided free services to families from over 80 communities across Massachusetts through peer support groups and related services. The Children’s Room was founded on the belief that every child, teen, and family grieving a death deserves a safe, supportive, and understanding environment. Today’s TCR serves approximately 1,100 children, families, and professionals with an annual operating budget of $1.5MM and a staff of 13. As the Executive Director, I am responsible for overall strategic and operational leadership of the organization, including management of TCR staff, Board of Directors, programming, communications and marketing, financial management and development.Our organization is available to support children ages 3.5-18, and their families, who have experienced the death of a sibling, parent, or caregiver.
