I started helping the wonderful people at DoubleBear Productions by implementing cooperative pathfinding using the WHCA* algorithm described in David Silver's 2005 paper titled "Cooperative Pathfinding". I also optimized the algorithm by implementing binary heaps for the open lists, determining whether the start and end points are connected components.
