In life if you are only going to remember one thing it should be that we must seize today because tomorrow is never promised. When I was a 12 year old boy, my father sat me down and told me this phrase and I had never considered it significant until a year later when I lost him. This phrase has developed new meaning inciting passion, determination, perseverance in all manners of life. This has illuminated a fire in the pit of my stomach that enables me to capture the best of each given day. I operate with passion and motivation to succeed through all trials and tribulations. With my work as a Perishable Manager and as a Meat Manager prior I have utilized a plethora of these GRIT like adjectives to thrust myself in to a wonderful position for myself and my family. I have managed in varying retail stores of volume starting from $170,000 a week to $1,000,000 a week. I have managed a team of three to a team of ten. Drive, pride and integrity have helped to advance me to this stratosphere and I intend on continuing my ascension as a manager and beyond.With all matters of my life I handle work with a great deal of pride, pushing and aspiring to give it 100% in each task. I am a hard worker who has dealt with a number of different workplace scenarios needing to utilize my expertise in customer service to overcome the obstacle at hand. I lead by example setting the standard for my team by communication but more importantly getting involved. I never accept failure. I learn from all short comings and strategize how I can and will improve upon this in the future. I will always remember to seize today because tomorrow is never promised as should all of you. Strive to be great, and nothing less than what you consider great.
