As a lead installer at TCCC I am responsible for the loading, delivery, and complete installation of our custom-made closet and cabinet systems. I also train new installers in our processes and techniques. Most of the work is residential, but occasionally I install in commercial spaces. The satisfying aspects of the job are troubleshooting issues that emerge from irregularities in the space itself: how to overcome high- and low-points in the floors, bows in the walls, different types of walls from plaster, lathe and drywall etc. I also enjoy driving to the many different communities we do business with: from the downtown high-rise condominiums, to the average house or apartment, to secluded lakeside estates. Currently working on my implementing LEAN strategies to my installation process.

I began working as a hitcher, learning how to move the steel in bulk. Then I began learning to move the steel piece by piece, from one machine to the next operation. I then mastered the art of blowing scale. I trained for two months, learning to keep the hot steel workable and free of debris. This was an intense job that required constant manipulation of sledgehammers and precise set up of pneumatic hammers. Progressed to be qualified in other positions, such as wheelabrator, press operator and more. Enjoyed my time here.

This was an enjoyable job which allowed me to see many different places, learn how to drive efficiently and how to navigate highways, city streets and country roads. Most of my trips were from the Greater Milwaukee Area to O'hare Airport in Illinois and vice-versa. The majority of my riders were corporate employees, and the occasional athlete or celebrity. I prided myself on being in the immediate area 15 minutes before schedule. I often took it upon myself to write the directions down ahead of time, so that I could better memorize them without needing to glance at the GPS every so often. I saw this as an opportunity to increase the customer's trust and enjoyment in the service. My goal was to make them feel as if I had travelled the route many times before, even if I hadn't. Default protocol was to arrive, greet, pickup, and drop-off. But if the client wanted conversation, a pit-stop to eat or refresh, then it was my duty to make their wishes come true. Signature Limousine was a fresh look into the world of business, travel, and people that I hadn't seen before.

I am proud to say I earned one of the highest scores on Milwaukee Tool's mechanical aptitude test. I learned the setups of automated-assembly and assembly-line machines, in a very fast paced and high-technology manufacturing environment.I worked on the automated assembly center, where I setup, troubleshoot and adjust robotic components both manually and via the PLC system. Other production machines included ink-transfer, heat-transfer, and ultra-sonic welder stations, most of which were controlled by computer interfaces. Here I began to think in terms of millimeters and even smaller units of measurement, because the slightest change in alignment could drastically effect the end product. Working in such large quantities and speed was very challenging, especially when machines went down in the middle of production. Thus I began to perform preventative maintenance on the machines during slow times.

Began working as a busser and quickly moved to a food-runner position. As a food runner it was my job to deliver hot and cold dishes to guests in a quick and tidy manner. Memorized the food menu top to bottom, with knowledge of ingredients and preparation. Worked constantly with managers, bartenders, servers, and chefs to deliver a seamless dining experience. Used my fluency in Spanish on several occasions, usually as a translator for large Spanish-speaking parties. I would give the spiel in Spanish, translate the orders to the servers, and greet/farewell. Moved onto bartender at Distil (another SURG location), a craft-cocktail and bourbon themed bar. Often worked Saturdays for special events like work parties, birthdays, etc. Finished my tenure at Carnevor as a line cook, working as garde manger (cold appetizers, salads and desserts). Discovered new knowledge and techniques from prep to service.

Joined the family business as Front of House Manager, focusing on the wait-staff, bartenders, and hostesses in a high-capacity restaurant. Used my skills learned at Carnevor to streamline fast-paced dinner rushes and increase the quality of our products.Maintained a large liquor inventory, finding optimal deals with our vendors to maximize profit from our menu items as well as promotional goods. I organized promotions and activities, like trivia , karaoke, and contests. We even held a record state-wide trivia tournament over a weekend.Covered positions throughout the restaurant when staff were unavailable or extra help was needed. I Performed other day-to-day operations when other managers were out.

Began working in the primary department, learning basic layout and machining skills for heavy-duty industrial parts to a high tolerance. Progressed to threading department, where I excelled at production of U-bolts and other threaded parts. My manager put me in charge of threading eventually, and I was fully capable of setting up, running, and training for those jobs.Volunteered to assist the Blacksmith in the Hot-Forming department, where I began to learn processes to properly heat, bend / form, and correct heavy steel parts. From brake-style and other presses, to CNC benders, rotary benders, and proprietary machinery, I produced high-quality and high-volume jobs with little to no rework, consistently.

Began working at SSP as a Safety Patroller, doing lot checks and escorting students and faculty on-foot around campus. Learned basic ten-codes and radio communication with SSP and campus security.Progressed to LIMO (Local Intercampus Mobile Operation) driver, maintaining my vehicle and doing fluid checks. Responsible for safe mobile transportation of students and faculty around campus and to train/bus stations. Once a month had to work 12-hour shifts. Applied to the maintenance department, changing tires, performing minor fixes, and maintaining fluid levels. The main responsibility was to take in campus security squads and LIMO-vans to service centers, and return them for operation.
