Working with the VP Engineering and Technology, we identifed a handful of possible sites in several states for a Greenfield operation. I was able to leverage multiple state governments over a 60-day window to generate a $16+M incentive package for the creation of >200 manufacturing jobs. This project will generate $250M revenue and >$50M EBITDA annually. -

Interim General Manager of $30M Thermal Systems.During my tenure, we repositioned the company from a single product (turbochargers) to a technology systems provider doubling revenue to $1 billion. This included founding AlliedSignal Romania by acquiring the assets, skilled workforce and a surplus building from a dedicated supplier for $1 million. AS Romania subsequently became the lowest cost turbocharger manufacturing facility in the world. Other projects included acquiring the rights to 3 supercharging technologies and the timely launch of our first commercial diesel radiator at a profit after determining the customer's durability testing was flawed. In addition, I divested three non-core product lines via competitive auction in less than 60 days each. I was responsible for creating the division's annual strategic plan, presented to the Chairman/CEO, which led to an offer to lead Strategic Planning for AlliedSignal Corporation.

This resulted in a strategy to penetrate low volume markets with capital intensive products. To support these global endeavors and minimize the cost and engineering drain on the workforce, I created a Foreign National training program bringing foreign nationals to the US to be trained by retirees and work alongside a Saginaw "partner" engineer. -
