I am a solicitor advocate specialising in both contentious and non-contentious matrimonial and private client matters for over three decades. I am also a family mediator and a private financial adjudicator. Prior to joining Karas So LLP (in Association with Mishcon de Reya), I was the principal of Jonathan Mok Legal, an independent boutique firm. I founded my own firm to be in Association with Charles Russell Speechlys LLP, after having spent 22 years at Johnson Stokes & Master (now Mayer Brown) where I served as a partner for 16 years.I am one of the select number of civil solicitors to be granted Higher Rights of Audience in Hong Kong. Being the first and currently only family dispute lawyer who is a Solicitor Advocate, it enables me to advocate for my clients at all levels of the judicial system, including the Court of Final Appeal.I am currently the Chair of the Family Law Committee as well as a co-option member of the Practitioners Affairs Committee of the Hong Kong Law Society. I am also a Member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL).
