I stay current with the law of appraisal in multiple jurisdictions and represent insurers in complex and large-loss appraisal and reference proceedings. Fraud and arson matters can be especially challenging. My experience includes taking significant examinations under oath in claims raising those issues and prosecuting litigation to protect the integrity of the claims process from concealment or misrepresentation.My experience extends beyond pure insurance policy-based issues. I regularly represent an industry-leading product testing and certification company and served as lead counsel in several significant product liability litigations arising out of fire protection and sprinkler technology. In addition, I obtain subrogation recoveries from responsible third parties with an emphasis on large, catastrophic losses. My experience includes major construction defects and accidents, turbine failures, and fire and explosion losses at industrial facilities.
