Profile bio

About Jonathan Njus

I've devoted my career to trying to make the labor market and the workplace fairer and safer for low-wage workers, women and people of color. I am also a middle-age middle manager who’s still trying to make my way and have an impact in the ever-evolving world of work. As a funder and as an advocate, I have led major projects that have resulted in government and business policy change that directly benefitted frontline workers. I have had the privilege of working at the highest levels of philanthropy and government, and am most proud of the support I have given to dynamic leaders who are working tirelessly on the outside (in communities) and on the inside (in companies) to create economies and organizations that are more inclusive and equitable for all workers. Over the years, I’ve acquired all of the requisite management skills, and am most adept at designing and driving initiatives and campaigns. I am also passionate about ending violence against women and girls, and engaging (white) men as allies in racial, gender, and employment equity work. #ExpandingEquity #RacialEquity #GenderEquity #DEI #JobQuality
