FERC matters: wrote client memorandum explaining FERC’s order on wind energy integration, and client memorandum explaining an interconnection dispute. Prepared client presentation on formula rate informational filings. State matters: prepared client presentation on nascent plans to develop energy imbalance market in Western Interconnection. Energy projects: Guided Arizona wind project through NEPA review. CFTC matters: Wrote client memoranda on CFTC Dodd-Frank rules pertaining to energy sector: the de minimis exception, the end-user exemption, and market manipulation enforcement.

Wrote memoranda on the legal implications of proposed Superfund and RCRA enforcement actions.

Worked for a large regulated energy utility. Wrote memoranda on FERC’s ripeness standard, compensation for general overhead costs in tort actions, and New York eminent domain procedure.

Served as the Congressman's liaison to the Williamsburg, Midwood, and Canarsie sections of Brooklyn. Worked with community leaders to preserve neighborhood-based legal services in communities inundated with foreclosures. Represented the Congressman in a meeting with a foreign ambassador regarding a kidnapped U.S. citizen abroad.
