Following acquisition of Syndesi Therapeutics by AbbVie, announced 1st March 2022, worked to transition the program to the AbbVie team to push forward clinical development of Syndesi's novel SV2A modulator. Syndesi was acquired by AbbVie in March 2022 for $130M upfront and a total deal value of up to $1BN.

I worked with lead investors Novo and Fountain Healthcare to build a syndicate raising a total of €26 M with participation from JJDC, V-BIO, SRIW, and Vives together with UCB. The company also successfully gained over €3 M in non-dilutive support from the Walloon Region. Syndesi progressed its lead molecule through IND-enabling studies and three Phase I trials, including PET imaging showing central SV2A target engagement, prior to acquisition by AbbVie.
