Duties:- The initial and ongoing preparation of facilitating and leading regular tutorials each week for a semester and all related duties assigned or required for the effective conduct of the tutorial and instruction- Assisted students and provided constructive written or oral feedback on work submitted by students in the course- Contributed to tutorials, office hours, invigilation & marking of midterms and finals, where applicable

The business began as a start-up company that consisted of preparing restoration kits that included paints, cleaners, and brushes for local sneaker enthusiasts. Aside from these kits, restoration, refurbishing, and consulting services were also offered to help consumers who did not have the necessary skills to carry out the tasks themselves. Fast forward to 2019; the company rebranded to Backdoor Canada, where it was previously known as J's Restoration, Customs & Kick Supply. It was a small business with four members working in Sales, Marketing, and Partner Relations. Then, it expanded to include high-end clothing on top of its sneakers. The organization shifted its focus from sneaker restoration to one that helped others dress to impress for much less before exiting successfully.

TEDxSFU is an independently organized event organized by students and alumni volunteers at Simon Fraser University. Our goal is to bring people together to share a TED-like experience while promoting ideas worth spreading. As the Director of Partner Relations, I was responsible for reaching out and securingpartners that advance the conference, as well as aligned closely with TEDxSFU branding andvalues. Moreover, I designed sponsorship packages, delivered persuasive pitches, negotiatedstrategically with potential partners, and maintained strong relationships with existing partners. Duties:- Reach out to potential partners, including but not limited to catering partners, printinghouse with a persistent, optimistic, and professional attitude- Build and maintain relationships with potential and secured partners over the term- Create a comprehensive Sponsorship Package, demonstrating partnership tiers andcorresponding benefits- Develop contracts for partners to ensure clarity & adherence to established agreements- Create a comprehensive report, demonstrating accomplished milestones as a result ofpartner support to present partners during the event preparations and after the event- Adhere to and represent the TEDxSFU brand in a professional manner, both online andin-person- Manage a team of four coordinators and host weekly meetings- Prepare and deliver weekly presentations on updates and progress

As the Events Coordinator and Director of General Ambassadors, I worked closely with the Director of Events and the Organizing Committee to ensure that that year’s TEDxSFU conference is a logistical success. Throughout my role, I assisted with pre-conference activities to the event logistics on the day of, and help craft a true “TEDx” experience for our guests. Here, I got the opportunity to shift my skill set for the better by developing my leadership, event planning, analytical, and communication skills. Duties:- Liaise with venue staff, after-party staff, and caterers - Organized event logistics in accordance with TEDx rules - Managed event materials and assist with rehearsals prior to the conference - Allocated funds appropriately and efficiently - Collaborated with the team to develop itinerary and activities on the day of - Implemented a new registration sheet and floor plan- Lead the recruitment and training process of the General Ambassadors - Emceed one of the pre-conference events- Represented the TEDxSFU brand in a professional manner

Count on Me strives to instill both financial literacy and employability skills in youth with barriers, empowering them with the tools necessary to build their own secure and fulfilling futures. The project partners with youth programs to educate students who are at risk of financial problems due to troubling economic and social backgrounds.Duties:- Planned and executed workshops on financial literacy, employability skills, and nutritional meal planning- Applied kitchen skills and support youth with barriers in learning how to cook new recipes- Built relationships and transferred knowledge over to the participants- Worked in collaboration with the Curriculum Manager to revise the curriculum to ensure it adheres to participants’ needs- Continuously updated metric tracking spreadsheets designed by the Internal Manager to measure the overall impact of Count on Me- Attended bi-weekly meetings and contribute innovative ideas- Supported and attended all project specific and Enactus SFU-wide initiatives (meetings, showcases, events, etc.)
