About Jonathan Valencia

I am a professional software developer with over 30 years of experience in software design, development and analysis. I have extensive experience with the software development life cycle and a variety of languages, databases and operating systems. I have worked on back-end server processes, graphical user interfaces, communication protocols, web applications, data format translation tools, enterprise applications and much more.Much of my development experience was obtained in the Healthcare EDI industry. During my career I have created and maintained several diverse Healthcare EDI transaction processing systems. These systems included both batch and real-time and were responsible for processing millions of transactions each month. For many of these systems, I performed the due diligence on the operations and software for their acquisition and integration. I was also responsible for projects to relocate many of these systems to other states and facilities.I am also an avid Linux user and proponent. I use it on my personal computers and recognize its benefit in both personal and business computing.
