Vice President of Outreach and Business Engagement at Liberty University, a private evangelical liberal arts institution with a mission of training champions for Christ.• Established the Office of Outreach and Business Engagement to provide visionary leadership and oversight for the development of special projects, economic and workforce development, and business partnerships that expand the mission of the University and further develop the University's talent, business development, and entrepreneurial efforts.• Developed key relationships and recruited corporate partners that led to applied research, job growth, academic enrichment, and new economic development opportunities.• Co-Founder of 4 new centers of innovation: Center for Entrepreneurship, Center for Unmanned Aerial Systems, Center for Cyber Security, and the Center for Engineering Research and Education.• Founder of the Office of Sponsored Programs, which brought in several million in federal and state grants within the first year of operations.• Acquired, planned, and developed off-campus properties to further the University’s expansion goals, including a 28-acre mixed-use site and a 500-acre private airport.• Restructured the Career Center to the Office of Career Services to provide students with services that support their career readiness and build a talent pipeline for employers.• Recruited, hired, and managed 26 employees in a matrix organization across 5 departments and managed a division budget over $3.5 million.

President and CEO of the RBTC, a member-driven business association working to promote the growth and success of the technology community across Southwest Virginia.• Partnered with more than 175 technology companies, entrepreneurs, and leaders from the business, local government, higher education, and economic development sectors to connect and unite the region’s technology community, improve STEM-H talent, develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem, and market the Roanoke-Blacksburg region as a hub for innovation.• Executive Director of the Roanoke-Blacksburg Innovation Network and spearheaded the development of the innovation ecosystem in the Roanoke-Blacksburg MSA in coordination with higher education partners, community stakeholder groups, and local government organizations.• Led the organization to considerable growth of all programs, events, membership, corporate sponsorship, community outreach, and strategic partnerships.• Implemented new programming and member services to include a stronger emphasis on professional networking, workforce development, and business retention and expansion.• Developed and implemented a new marketing and communications strategy for the organization that included the design and launch of new branding and online presence.• Spearheaded development for and a Co-Founder of RAMP, a regional business accelerator for entrepreneurs in downtown Roanoke supported by more than 20 public and private stakeholders.• Worked directly with over 70 executive business leaders to address their needs for talent development, access to capital, partnering opportunities, and strategic growth.
