Water Resources Engineer at Research Triangle Institute (RTI) International. My project experience includes 1D hydraulic modeling carried out in Excel/VBA, HEC-RAS, and HEC-GeoRAS, hydrologic modeling with HEC-HMS, as well as Python scripting focused on workflow automation and data processing. I have also received training in RiverWare and contributed to reservoir model development, debugging, and automation efforts. My academic experience includes coursework in hydraulics, river mechanics, fluvial geomorphology, and hydrology. During my graduate research, I developed a method of evaluating channel maintenance flow effectiveness, combining shear stress and high flow duration into a single function to be utilized in conjunction with high flow frequency analysis. This method was implemented in the Poudre River Ecological Response Model (ERM). Prior to joining RTI, I worked with the US Forest Service, performing program management as well as design and oversight of public works construction projects.Outside of work I spend much of my time outdoors hiking, fishing, hunting, and backpacking.
