Water Resources Engineer
Current- Currently developing a Python framework to execute a risk based hydrologic and hydraulic modeling framework to aid in reservoir operation and maintenance decision analysis. This workflow entails a long-term (1,000 year) model run of the Sacramento Soil Moisture Accounting Model, Unit Hydrograph Model, Lag K Routing Model, and a RiverWare model of a large reservoir network. Stochastic runs of the same model sequence are then performed with initial conditions sampled from the long-term results.- Challenges addressed include memory and data management for the 1,000-year long-term simulation and parallel processing of thousands of stochastic simulations. -Developed the Lag K Routing Model using TSTool and aided in development of the RiverWare reservoir model.
