Support 11 manufacturing plants ERP System needs and issues. Provide Shop floor support for files we send to machinery on the floor from the ERP system. The files provide data to automated machinery that are used to run production. Supported and developed an application (written in Progress) to download data from our ERP system and print labels and placards we apply to the loads of doors going out to the customers. You can see these labels in Home Depot and Lowes on the Door slabs and Pre-hung units. I developed a new production schedule for use for by the Door Group plants. The new production schedule allows plants to create, finish a new schedule, and send it to the floor in a much more efficient manner. Changes and enhancements to the schedule are much easier to make. Setup and helped implement the new production schedule for the Denmark group of companies. The first initial plant was in Latvia, which I visited and determined the needs of the Facility for the production floor. I have written a production schedule user guide for the Group to use for training on the new Production schedule. I setup a SharePoint template to allow the Door Group to help the group Support issues more efficiently. The website allows the Business systems manager to look up issues and add solutions to better manage problems they face day to day. I setup a new labor costing system for the Interior group. The changes reflected more accurately the production process on the floor for each type of door produced. I implemented a barcode shipping receiving system in a Quebec plant that uses RF technology. The scanners connect over RF to our ERP system using telnet to run Shipping / Receiving Functions. The functions had to be translated to French. I worked with a plant contact to translate them to French.

The Trimsaw Machine (Macintosh Computer) communicates directly with the program and requests data files. I Planned and implemented a plan to install our ERP system into a manufacturing facility in Chile. The system not only had to be installed in 2 phases, but in Spanish as well. I worked with translators to translate the menus, reports, and functions on the system that would be used by the Plant. This included Items, Production paperwork, customers, vendors, reorder, Bill of Materials, and payroll. I also provided support for the Facility in the states for any issue or need they have. I Planned and implemented a plan to install our ERP system into an Interior manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids. The system was installed in 2 weeks. This was the fastest ERP install completed in the company. This also involved setting up all facets of the facility in the system. I also provided support for the Facility for any issue or need they have. We also installed a Barcode system used to scan Orders and Purchase orders that were shipped and received. We also use it for taking inventory every 3 months. I was part of a team that planned and implemented a plan to install our ERP system into a 4 Distribution facilities (Louisiana, Arizona, North Dakota, and Alabama). This also involved setting up all facets of the facility in the system. We also installed a Barcode system used to scan Orders and Purchase orders that were shipped and received. We also use it for taking inventory every 3 months. Helped setup an IBM RS/6000 Server to run our ERP system. This involved Setting up system information (users, printers, Systems environment, Samba Sharing, Progress, and moving the database over and modifying the UNIX scripts). I then switched the servers over to live and supported the transition. Setup a Linux server to run our ERP system.

Support 18 manufacturing plants computer needs and issues (over 200 users). I developed a system of installing the computers to reduce the turn around time of computers from a day and a half per pc to only a few hours. I have written user support documentation for users to be able to fix simple issues on their own. I provide shop floor support and development for an application running on a NT server. The application (written in Progress) Downloads information from our TITAN ERP server and creates files on the NT server share. The Trimsaw Machine (Macintosh Computer) communicates directly with the program and requests data files. This is done by placing a file on the Apple share that is read by the program running on the NT Server. The response file is placed back on the share to be picked by the Mac. I also setup and support the NT Servers. I supported and developed an application (written in Progress) to download data from our ERP system and print labels and placards we apply to the loads of doors going out to the customers. This involved Setting up system information (users, printers, system environment, Samba Sharing, Progress, and moving the database over and modifying the UNIX scripts). I then switched the servers over to live and supported the transition. I setup a Linux server to run our ERP system. This was the first Linux server in the company and used modems that our vendors dial into to do VMI with the company. I have rebuilt PC’s, and replaced Dell parts on PC’s and Laptops under warranty. Spearheaded the Y2k Project for doors.
