A part time role, working as Caterham's factory appointed Race, Test and Development Driver. I carried out development driving on the Caterham R600 race car and Seven 620R road car. I assisted Caterham in evolving the original concept into an exceptionally fast, but very well behaved road and track car.The Caterham Seven 620R went on to win critical acclaim, including EVO Magazine's 'Track Car of the Year Award' in October 2013.I drove for Caterham at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the Caterham Seven 620R set the fastest time and subsequently won the 'Race Cars for the Road' category. We beat rivals such as the BAC Mono, Praga R1R, Radical RXC, Elemental RP1, Lotus 3-11 and Zenos E10R.Since 2012, I have carried out development work on the following Caterham race cars:R300, R600 and SP.300/R.I have also carried out development work on road-going production car models including:Seven 485S, 485R, 620S, 620R.My areas of test and development focus for Caterham have included:• Reliability, durability and at/beyond limit test driving• Subjective vehicle sign off• Engine calibration evaluations• Sequential gearbox flat shift setup and evaluations• Evolution of chassis setup for all models, road and race cars for press launches and PR events• Damper hardware tuning• Road and race tyre evaluations• Driving for Caterham at promotional events, such as CarFest, Goodwood Festival of Speed• Driving new cars on photo shoots, tracking shots, carrying out drifting and 'Hot Lap' passenger rides at track events

Lead Test and Development Engineer - working on the launch versions of the 16MY Jaguar XE and 'all new' 16MY Jaguar XF.Test and Development Engineer - working on the 16MY Jaguar F-Type all wheel drive and manual gearbox cars.This was a diverse role, where I had responsibility for a number of tasks. Principally helping to ensure that new vehicles were designed, developed and signed off to the high standards that the company required.Working on whole vehicle assessments and sign off, following both dynamic and static appraisals. I ensured that vehicles were prepared to the highest possible standards for press launches, new vehicle launches, fleet vehicles, media events and film shoots Worldwide.My role included: • Prototype fleet management, test and development. • Whole vehicle assessments – test driving and evaluating vehicle dynamics, NVH, performance • Report writing• Project management• Process improvement• Fault diagnosis• Final vehicle sign off with relevant engineering departments• Attending launch events in the UK and overseas

I was recruited by Eaton Aerospace to join their electro-mechanical assembly and test department, building Contents Transmitters and Fuel Pumps for Boeing, Airbus, AugustaWestland and BAE Systems.Tasks include undertaking build, test, fault finding and repair on more than 50 different types of fuel pump, fuel level sensor, fuel spill sensors and many other aerospace assemblies and components.

Meggitt Avionics took me on as a full time employee after I had completed an advanced modern apprenticeship with the company from September 2000 to August 2004.My full time role was as a Mechanical Engineer/Assembly and Test Technician undertaking mechanical/electrical survey, build, test and calibration of 'life critical' emergency oxygen systems, as well as building many other aerospace assemblies.I was the youngest Meggitt employee to gain a self-certification inspection stamp and I was promoted to the top salary grade in the Assembly Department soon after completing my Apprenticeship in July 2005.
