Head of Marketing and Business Development at The Uncommon Practice, responsible for developing new and existing client relationships and the firm's marketing and brand activities.

Jon is Head of Marketing and Communications at The Openside Group (formerly PSfPS).Jon has an MSc in Marketing with Distinction from Manchester Business School and a BA from Durham University (Collingwood College) where he studied Economics, Politics and French.Jon is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a strong believer and advocate for The Purple Cow (with thanks to Seth Godin).Outside of work, Jon used to enjoy music (both listening and performing) and sports (both watching and playing). He was also a keen follower of Northampton Saints RFC and Sheffield Wednesday FC and enjoyed occasional trips to Twickenham. Sadly, he now has no time for these activities as he is a father of two small people.

Working with Managing Director and Consultants to ensure that PSfPS achieves an unequivocal reputation among global management consulting and professional services firms for psychological, cognitive and behavioural skills training. Responsible for the marketing and communications strategy of PSfPS with a particular focus on: campaign management, digital and social media strategies, business development/lead generation, brand strategy, content creation and further increasing referrals from loyal and satisfied clients.

Work with Office Managing Partner to help drive the business forward and provide focus across the North West.Particular responsibility for business development activity of Baker Tilly's Chester, Liverpool and Preston offices.Provide partners with one to one support, challenge and coaching on all aspects of BD/marketing.Take responsibility for the NW Marketing and BD plan; ensuring all events, marketing campaigns and hospitality are executed with maximum return on investment.Provide strategic input into tenders; assist with stop/go decision and key messaging. Manage the North West client care programme including attending review meetings and taking responsibility for follow up and actions being completed by teams. Particular sector responsibility for Media and Technology, Tax Initiatives and Services to International businesses. Network and actively uncover opportunities to be introduced to the NW fee earners as appropriate.
