Technical SupportI am the first line of communication for any technician or clientside representative looking for help in troubleshooting and repairing a display that is in the field. I am also heavily involved in the building out and updating any displays that need to go out after rollout. I travel where needed to aid in more technical installations.Quality Control PreparationI build out all interactive systems and test prototype displays, diagnosing any concerns with functionality and providing an example for other workers to use during the full production run. The client-provided media is also thoroughly tested to assure quality and confirm client-expected functionality. During a production run, I will oversee the build process and address any issues in that process to better streamline or correct buildout. DocumentationDocumentation is crucial to providing 3rd party technicians the ability to service our displays, and I take serious steps to build well-documented directions for both the initial install and any common troubleshooting required. These documents will then be published to the client, install team, and up to the support website that our team maintains. I will also build reports on technical support calls/shipments and job tracking.LogisticsI work as a resource to our clients, providing a source for them to directly contact us with any comments and concerns. I will handle client product requests, general electronics questions, and even travel to discuss future jobs on some occasions.Sourcing ResearchI will research the best options for purchasing interactive components, assess vendor quotes and submit requisitions to PM’s. This is often when the requisition is specifically for custom electronics from 3rd party vendors.Project ManagementI act as PM on smaller projects involving electronics and interactivity.
