Hired to start/lead a variety of ministries related to Congregational Care for 2,500+ attendees• Introduced, organized, trained and supervised the volunteers of Stephen Ministry – a lay program designed to assist the pastoral team in caring for the troubled, sick and/or elderly • Organized, supervised and wrote policy for the NBC Benevolent Fund that disperses up to $250,000 annually to both NBC parishioners and people of the local community• Standardized, built teams, wrote policy, and directed/performed 60+ memorial services• Gave leadership to men’s programming for 5 years, built teams, introduced Men’s Fraternity, led annual retreats, taught weekly classes, led small groups, worked 1-on-1 with many men• Wrote curriculum for all-church, intergenerational teaching events that lasted up to three months• Conceived, organized and directed 4 (2001 – 2004) Good Friday events at NBC, in which I created a painting live during the program, while speaking on a theme related to Good Friday. • Other responsibilities: pastoral care, prayer ministries, counseling, hospital visitation, weddings and community service events

Hired as international correspondent to photograph/report on the aid projects/relief programs of ACTION. • Spent first six months on loan to Servant Magazine at Prairie Bible College to complete internship• Lived in the Philippines one year (1995-96), while photographing and reporting a variety of programs for impoverished “squatter” communities and street children living in Manila• Traveled to the Philippines, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, China and Turkmenistan on various assignments as a photographer/writer for ACTION, as well as for personal interests• Conceived, graphically designed, and produced a four-color, semi-monthly newsletter for ACTION and constituents, using the photographs and written reports from international travels

Volunteered time and skills as a construction worker & equipment operator for one year, to help construct a campground designed to give street children from nearby Manila a recreational camping experience.• Helped build from the ground up, a 90’ X 100’ kitchen and dining room facility• Operated heavy equipment; fabricated/custom welded parts and tools for worksite; helped construct metal/concrete buildings; multiple trips to Manila for supplies• Traveled to and photographed national sites of interest, including some of the southern islands
