• Hired to start/lead a variety of ministries related to Congregational Care for 2,500+ attendees
• Introduced, organized, trained and supervised the volunteers of Stephen Ministry – a lay program designed to assist the pastoral team in caring for the troubled, sick and/or elderly
• Organized, supervised and wrote policy for the NBC Benevolent Fund that disperses up to $250,000 annually to both NBC parishioners and people of the local community

• Lived in the Philippines one year (1995-96), while photographing and reporting a variety of programs for impoverished “squatter” communities and street children living in Manila
• Traveled to the Philippines, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, China and Turkmenistan on various assignments as a photographer/writer for ACTION, as well as for personal interests
• Conceived, graphically designed, and produced a four-color, semi-monthly newsletter for ACTION and constituents, using the photographs and written reports from international travels

• Volunteered time and skills as a construction worker & equipment operator for one year, to help construct a campground designed to give street children from nearby Manila a recreational camping experience.
• Helped build from the ground up, a 90’ X 100’ kitchen and dining room facility
• Operated heavy equipment; fabricated/custom welded parts and tools for worksite; helped construct metal/concrete buildings; multiple trips to Manila for supplies
• Traveled to and photographed national sites of interest, including some of the southern islands
