• Contracted by ecommerce company for global expansion efforts focused on LATAM & APAC. Provided clarity to multiple Mexico trading patterns for tax efficiency and avoided unnecessary costs, time, and maintenance with alternative to Mexico’s IMMEX program. Produced savings and corporate efficiency to the client’s existing Mexican entity by combining local legal and accounting functions into a single firm bringing the client’s MX entity into compliance while providing an order of magnitude savings in the client’s requirement to issue Mexican CFDI’s.• Provided actionable guidance to client’s Legal, Tax, and Compliance teams regarding Brazil’s unique entity requirements; including necessity of having a resident shareholder representative and the cost-efficiency and risk of combing that position with a Brazilian entity director.• Reviewed client’s existing business model for compliance and cost-efficiencies selling digital and physical products into India via their local entity. By pointing out an Indian Ministry four-page brief specifically clarifying India’s stated 28 August 2017 FDI policy combined with India's upcoming Personal Data Protection Bill (2019), I showed the client how a change in their digital business model could provide a five-fold increase in profitability for their digital sales into India.• Led research project for global ecommerce company, providing practical solutions for branded manufacturers selling individual products domestically within China and cross-border into China.• Completed project within 60-day deadline overcoming existing challenges with detailed free-trade-zone and Chinese buy/sell entity solution for domestic ecommerce. Partnered with Shenzhen-based SF-Express for micro (single product) import using China’s new ecommerce clearance for cross-border transactions.
