Juraj is originally from Slovakia, a graduate of the Comenius University, Faculty of Management in Bratislava and College of Business and Information Technology in Sydney. Juraj spent his professional live in startup initiatives in financial technologies particularly in payment innovations. In 2010 he joined the small team in startup company MOPET CZ, funded by banks and MNOs, to start very first mobile payment service called Mobito in Czech republic. Later in 2013 after company acquisition from ČSAS, biggest bank in the market, company pivoted to B2B segment where he helped to launch first payment prepaid card for the biggest media house in the country. Juraj worked on the prepaid card for children and parents with financial literacy capabilities and later on 3 other services in gift and transportation segment on VISA and MasterCard networks. Juraj worked as a product manager and helped to shape company transaction system into white label platform for customized payment services for B2B partners. Juraj is passionate about service design, new technologies and customer experience. Apart from his professional career Juraj dedicated his time to several non-profit organizations since his university times. After almost 2 years in Aiesec, he joined a small team of university alumni to create nonprofit organization Nexteria for students that aimed to create better interactions between students and the business world with the vision to develop new leaders for the future. Juraj organized inspirational events and chamber debates with top CEOs and leaders. In 2010 Juraj got accepted to attend prestigious TED conference in Oxford where he got his TEDx license for organizing independent inspirational TED-like events. Juraj officially held over 15 TEDx events under his license in Prague. He is a co-founder of Power of X, non-profit organization that organizes further TEDx events in Prague. TEDx is considered a biggest crowdsourced educational project of all times.
