Here I created, reviewed, and approved engineering change orders. Additionally I prepared and led customer design reviews. I managed product configuration, documentation, and lessons learned. Technically, I computed RF performance parameters (transfer gain, SNR, intercept and compression points) to selloff antenna systems and I Implemented root cause analysis efforts for failed systems and components. I was a critical contributor for capturing an additional $4 million in follow-on repair, requalification, and research efforts. I was also a cost account manager and technical lead (2007-2008) for a sonar signal processor and recording system. Engineer, Engineering Leadership Development Program (Eldp)

London, Gb

During my three years as an ELDP participant I completed rotations in Electrical, Software, and Systems Engineering. During an Electrical rotation I worked in BAE’s Microelectronics Center. In BAE’s foundry I developed modular One Touch Wafer Test software. This modular RF measurement application could utilize multiple test instrument configurations and perform multiple measurements such as insertion loss, return loss, Small Signal Gain (SSG), 1dB Compression, Noise Figure (NF), and S Parameters measurements. The software improves yields and reduces test times by over 10%. In another Electrical rotation I developed firmware for automating brushless DC motors for a reel-out reel-in (RORI) RF countermeasure system. I led platform integration and flight test activities.During my Software rotations I reduced the runtime from 44 minutes to 2 minutes for a Matlab based Direction Finding (DF) and Geolocation (GEO) Matlab algorithms by converting code blocks to C++ MEX files. I won a Quarterly Engineering Award for creating an application called Winlock which enabled multiuser password protection while viewing application running in the background. Finally, in a Systems rotation I supported software development, test case design, and verification of a multi-algorithm RF emitter detection, identification, and DF signal processing system. I supported development of headless software utilities such that test cases could be executed autonomously. This permitted completion of the effort prior to the cutoff date.As an ELDP I learned that titles are opaque when the work definition is clear – just add value when and where you can.

Jul 2003 - Jun 2006

Junior Field Engineer

Computalog Drilling Services

My function was to acquire oil and gas well formation properties using pipe conveyed logging equipment in wells up to six miles deep. I supported around-the-clock drilling operations with pressure modulated telemetry tooling. I conveyed directional survey and log data to geologists and drilling engineers to ensure accurate well placements.
