I’ve spent my entire career working with non-profits. I’m motivated by mission and inspired byresults.Next to being a husband, nothing makes me more proud than helping leaders of organizations make their best decisions about big challenges related to strategy, people, and performance.I hold a B.A. from The Ohio State University, and did my Master’s work at the AmericanUniversity. I used to run a seafood shop too, so I know how to filet a fish.I’m a former CEO of a college fraternity, which means that at any given point in time I wasresponsible for the behavior of more than 5,000 college men between the ages of 18 and 22. Ispent seven years as a fundraiser for American University and then for the Children’s DefenseFund. So, I have practical, real-world experience that I bring to all I do.I am an introvert who thrives on working with groups of people.I grew up in Ohio, studied in Spain, lived in London, and worked in China, Egypt, Indonesia, theUK and just about everywhere in the US. My husband and I currently call Charlottesville, Virginia home.I do some of my best thinking while running and walking the Shenandoah Mountains.Our dog Finn reminds me every day of the importance of play and the power of unbridledjoy.
