The student-built CubeSats MOVE-II and MOVE-IIb are in orbit and their operation is an exciting task. Sometimes rather puzzling ;)I have worked towards building a Hardware-in-the-Loop environment that lets us verify the ADCS algorithms, the power budget, and the FDIR algorithms of MOVE-II. Expanding it for novel missions is a work-in-progress.My current research focuses on fault handling strategies on the task planning level. How can we reliably achieve the goals of a satellite/rover/robot assuming that all its actions are not reliable or may suffer from faults introduced by the environment?
