Jon practises in the Litigation Group in the Vancouver office of Stikeman Elliott LLP. He has broad commercial litigation experience that includes cases related to various types of contract disputes, construction litigation, real property and leasing disputes, class actions, commercial insurance, coverage and subrogation cases, environmental litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, product liability, maritime litigation and cross-border disputes.Jon has appeared in proceedings in all levels of the Courts in British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has resolved numerous cases through arbitration and mediation. He has appeared before administrative tribunals such as the Environmental Appeal Board and the Passenger Transportation Board.Some recent cases include:> successfully resolving litigation concerning engineering services provided in the context of a pulp mill expansion> resolving a supply contract dispute relating to a conveyor system at a pulp mill> obtaining a dismissal of a proposed class action relating to goods imported by courier> successfully obtaining a stay of a multi-million dollar payment order before the Environmental Appeal Board> obtaining a dismissal of an oppression action> successfully resolving indemnity claims arising from a share purchase agreement
