Technology in the built environment (ie, business technology) is critical today because it drives more efficient building operations and, more importantly, new and innovative experiences for people and society at large. However, designing and delivering tech-driven environments is complex and challenging, including creating an achievable vision, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and planning for technology redundancy.Building owners and developers therefore need Architects who are masters of both the physical and digital domains, having a technology-first perspective to design solutions that are new, flexible, resilient, and scalable for the future. I call this design + network thinking.I help design and deliver architectural solutions that are innovative and practical using design thinking influenced from years in technology-facing design and implementation roles. As a practicing Architect I specialize in designing airports and the technology systems that drive efficiency, innovation, customer experience, and ultimately a competitive edge for the world's best airport operators such as LAX, AUH, DXB, and DOH.
