Sr. Director Of Human Resources
Current• Initiate and manage internal processes for effective recruitment, retention, assimilation, and development of staff.• Lead cultivation and reinforcement of desired culture through employee engagement, appreciation, succession planning, and performance management• Serve as key advisor to management on various HR matters.• Maintain, administer and revise current policies and procedures of the Zoo as appropriate to reflect best practices and support organizational goals. • Collaborate with operational leaders to recruit effectively, improve the employee experience, and create a positive and engaged work force.• Lead and supervise HR staff, including hiring, training, safety, evaluation, motivation, discipline, and termination. • Develop and maintain an effective talent acquisition program aligned with the ZooTampa brand. Manage process flow of posting open positions, incoming employment application and resumes, maintain applicant tracking, and support recruiting efforts for all departments. • Develop and continually evaluate and improve employee training and professional development programs to ensure measurable results. Coordinate programs with the Office of the CEO through the Director of Administration• Guide the employment engagement strategy with an eye to retaining top talent and fostering organizational pride. • Ensure strong, relevant, and timely employee communications, including developing messaging, oversight of internal employee newsletter and employee website.• Provide direction and leadership support to all direct reports, including day to day oversight of the performance of the HR team members. • Conduct or supervise a wide variety of employee relations including general counseling, dispute resolution, investigations, and advising disciplinary action while remaining in compliance with employment law and Zoo policy. • Serve as primary contact to all community partners for job shadow, volunteer, and employment opportunities .
