Experience across a broad range of environmental disciplines, with a particular focus on ecology and passion for frogs, gained through university studies, volunteer experience with catchment groups and DEHP and most recently during the last eight years working full-time at Future-Plus Environmental. My specialist area of frogs includes lead roles in implementing and undertaking on-ground monitoring and surveys, frog identification and frog/tadpole capture and relocation. I also provide specialist advice and recommendations to clients regarding the management of threatened frog species on construction projects in SE QLD; this currently includes managing Acid Frogs at a large airport expansion on the Sunshine Coast. I have also taken many opportunities to diversify my skills and abilities within and outside ecology. Within ecology, this includes organising and undertaking many terrestrial/arboreal fauna survey/trapping projects. My experience in other environmental services includes managing and undertaking many water, soil, gas and leachate sampling projects at heavy industry, commercial and domestic sites within QLD and NSW. I've also several years experience in the operation of environmental monitoring equipment inc. various water quality loggers (inc. telemetry); songmeters and infra-red cameras. Back behind the desk, I initiated and spearheaded the implementation of GIS mapping capabilities using ArcGIS. This resulted in accurate, reliable and professional mapping solutions for clients, whilst also improving our efficiency in the field when maps are loaded onto GPS-capable smart devices.I serve as Events and Initiatives Coordinator for the QLD Frog Society, where I have been involved in since 2012.
