EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:Successful business consultant and leader with a long history of delivering results for my employers and clients. I have a PhD in Technology Leadership and Innovation from Purdue University and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from Sigma Pro. I have 7 years of experience in the Medical Device industry where I worked as a Quality Manager, a Global Supply Chain Manager, and an internal consultant to executives (I reported directly to the SVP of QA/RA and Legal Affairs of a multi-billion dollar company).Since 2012, I have run my own training and consulting business in Business Process Improvement and Data Analytics. Clients include hospitals, insurance companies, manufacturers, and government agencies (see my 50+ recommendations below). I have also taught courses for both Purdue University and Indiana University in Operations Management, Quality & Productivity, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Strategy, Statistics, Data Analytics, and Design Thinking.*******A FEW MORE DETAILS:I invested the first 13 years of my career working in R&D, New Product Development, Current Product Support, and Competitive Analysis in the automotive industry. I developed the first infrared temperature sensor to be used in an automotive application and the first automotive heat pump system (used in GM's first electric vehicle, the EV1 "Impact"). I also honed my problem solving skills by investigating and resolving numerous product design and field warranty issues. In 2005 I earned my Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt while working in the medical device industry. I have led or mentored over 100 improvement projects in manufacturing, global supply chain, engineering, finance, customer service, field service, sales, marketing, IT, HR and EHS. During this time I gained valuable, hands-on experience leading cross-functional teams. The benefits from a few of the projects I led include a 75% reduction in OSHA recordable injuries in a large manufacturing plant, shortening the time to generate quotes for highly customized products from 30 days to 1 hour, and reducing warranty rates by over 90% on several product lines. As a professor, I have mentored students in conducting research and served in the Office for Student Research.I am also an experienced public speaker and have spoken at events hosted by the International Academy of Technology, Education and Development, the Asia-Pacific Innovation Conference, the American Society for Quality, and the Project Management Institute.
