There are 500,000 Vets that are diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) by the VA today, and it is estimated that 80% of them suffer from persistent Nightmare Disorder (ND) as well. These Veterans deserve better care for their invisible wounds, and NightWare is committed to helping them.NightWare is a digital therapeutic company that uses patented AI and a smart-watch based user interface to detect and stop nightmares for those with persistent Nightmare Disorder (ND) and PTSD.By monitoring multiple biometrics, the AI back-end establishes an individualized "sleep index", and when the monitored biometrics exceed the user's sleep index, a slowing increasing buzzing on the watch shakes the user out of the nightmare without fully awakening them. The net result is the user no longer has nightmares and gets a restful night's sleep.We have completed Clinical Trials in conjunction with the Minneapolis VA Hospital, have submitted to the FDA for approval, and expect to receive approval in November 2020.

Our innovative care model is based on 12 years of clinical experience in Minnesota, which allow us to deliver personalized care to dramatically improve outcomes for low-income members, significantly improving quality of life while also reducing total cost of care. Served as an Executive in Residence (EIR) at UnitedHealth Group Ventures (UHGV), an internal Venture Capital group for UnitedHealth Group (UHG). UHGV's focus is on investing in companies that drive improved health care quality and affordability. As an EIR at UHGV, I developed a new concept of care for high risk patients, which become the core of the TeamMD model of care. In addition, I helped develop other internal start-up concepts, as well as evaluating and conducting due diligence for potential acquisitions.Between September 2016 and March 2018, took a largely reduced role in UHGV to focus on the stand-up, launch and expansion of TeamMD. Once Team MD was acquired, I returned to my full-time role at UHGV.
