I am a dynamic leader and entrepreneur, currently working on my latest ventures with NightWare and WarriorSmart Consulting, both of which are start-ups. At WarriorSmart, I have been focused on new client development and bringing the Military Decision Making Process to the corporate world. At NightWare, I am focused on operations and engagement with Veterans' organizations.During my time as an entrepreneur, I have been involved with 12 start-ups in some form or another (founder, leadership team, advisor, etc.) Five are clear successes; 2 more are right on the verge of being successes; for 3 it is too early to say one way or the other, but 2 seem to be leaning towards success and 1 toward failure; the remaining 2 were clearly failures. Overall, my "batting average" as an entrepreneur is well above average.Between September 2016 and March 1018, I largely stepped back from my "Entrepreneur In Residence" (EIR) role with UnitedHealth Group Ventures (UHGV) in order to focus on launching and scaling TeamMD, which was the most successful of all of the startups I have been involved with. After TeamMD was acquired in early 2018, I returned to my role as an EIR.Prior to my time as an entrepreneur, I was with Honeywell, leading global strategy and marketing for Automation and Control Solutions (ACS), a $17B revenue Business Group at the time. As the head of strategy and Chief Marketing Officer, I was responsible for understanding future market needs, listening to the "voice of the customer", developing products and services for to meet the customer's needs, and bringing them to market.My career in the civilian world began just prior to Honeywell, when I spent 7 years at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). At BCG, I was a Principal and a core member of the Operations and `Industrial Goods Practice Areas, and lead projects globally.Prior to my civilian career, I was an Army Officer and Airborne Ranger. I held variety of positions there, including Battalion S1 - the Army's equivalent of head of HR for a 670 person organization, as well as three separate Company Commands - the Army's equivalent of CEO. The last of the 3 Commands was comprised of 350 American soldiers and 475 Iraqis,I am a Distinguished Graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA) and West Point (Physics and Nuclear Engineering, as well as OU (International Relations, 4.0 GPA).
