My most meaningful achievement with HPE involved stepping into a very precarious client relationship, and ultimately re-establishing trust - culminating in a new 5 year partnership. Hewlett Packard's acquisition of Electronic Data Systems in 2008 represented one of the most significant mergers in the history of the industry. As is the case with many multi-billion-dollar transactions at global scale, the cultural, organizational, procedural, and technical challenges in integrating the companies were felt to some degree by our clients. My roles during this time most often focused on engaging in situations where clients and account teams faced challenges. I'd then collaborate with clients and account leaders to develop and execute plans to repair damaged relationships. In every case, those plans were successful in resolving commercial issues, service delivery issues, and/or personnel issues - ultimately resulting in healthier accounts and more satisfied clients. Clients included General Motors, Delphi Automotive Systems, Bank of America, Best Buy, and American Express

60 Days after graduating from college in 1995, I started my career with EDS taking help desk calls from General Motors dealership personnel - primarily salespeople who couldn’t close a sale without resolving a computer issue. This first “real” job taught me the fundamentals of customer service, and how rewarding it can be to help a client through a challenging situation. Over the next several years of team leadership, supervisory, and management roles, I learned what it meant to be responsible for the careers and professional development of other people.
